Who I am
I am clinician certified in the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders in adults, children and adolescents —a form of cognitive behavioral therapy that teaches clients new ways of responding to uncomfortable emotions. I am also certified in Kazdin Parent Management Training (KPMT) and have been trained to administer Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).
In addition to my private practice, I am a Research Fellow at the nonprofit organization Resilience Across Borders and an assistant professor at Georgetown University. I attended undergraduate at the University of Notre Dame. I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology at Ohio State University. My predoctoral internship was completed at Children’s National Medical Center. I obtained specialistic training with anxiety disorders during my postdoctoral fellowship at Temple University. Prior to beginning my own practice, I was a clinician at Alvord, Baker & Associates, LLC for over ten years, also serving as the Director of Research.
